DC Restaurant Week is in full swing and last night I decided to try @mastrosofficial for dinner at the suggestion of a friend. They have a VERY good Restaurant Week deal…choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert for $55! For DC and how much that same meal would cost regularly (the filet alone is normally $56), it was a steal. The service was stellar and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The great thing is, the deal is available for dine-in or takeout, but hurry because Restaurant Week ends tomorrow. Definitely recommend. Pictured above is the bag with my leftovers because there was no way I could finish everything in one sitting, except the butter cake, I devoured that. So I went with that and it did not disappoint. Super sweet (and a tad strong), just how I like.Appetizer: Nueske’s Maple Glazed Bacon.Entree: 8 oz filet and I added shrimp and truffle butter with “enhancements” aka sides: lobster mac & cheese and creamed spinach.Dessert: Butter Cake with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.
